I appreciate all the pics people have posted in here.
As far as I'm concerned, the Langrex transistors are FAKE. And I don't mean relabeled at the factory. This is the set of 4 I got from them:

I suppose the purple base one is the only one I can really say for sure is fake, but obviously the entire batch would be suspect due to that even IF the printing on the purple one looked different. But I see more similarities than differences here, and these all seem suspect to me even in isolation. The real later NKT275s which these are most similar to have larger printing. Meaning everything is scaled up a little bit. The N is closer to the bottom, and the T is closer to the top because of that, but the writing is all just noticeably larger.
On these Langrex ones, the 2 and 5 are bolder than the 7 which I don't see on any other NKT275s (at least to that extent), and the 5 is often wonky (tilted and shifted a few degrees). I could see that being the case if these were factory relabeled, but of course the purple base kills that thought for me. Anyway, you guys can judge:

That was my first purchase from Langrex. I've heard that they're a reputable store, but in my opinion the onus is on them to make sure these are legit if they're going to be selling them for £100. If there was no purple base, I could understand them being fooled by these ones. But that should have been caught. I was lucky to get one like that actually. Although these do look suspect to me anyway, I wouldn't have been as sure without it. I'm sure a bunch of people bought these and didn't have any obvious signs they were fake.

plus if they were fakes they'd have more than 25 in stock...
I don't think that's a real value. I placed my order after this comment, and they have 24 in stock now (I bought 4). They also aren't listed in their stocklist at all, so I'd guess they're handling these a little differently. I'd guess they list a small quantity at a time so that it's not possible for one person to buy their entire stock. Or maybe they have 24 that have been confirmed operational, and they test more when someone buys some. Or maybe they just have 24, but I wouldn't take that number as a sign that they are not fakes.
