Tommy's Guitar Shop will be your USA D*A*M connection!
I have great news to share!!!
Tommy's Guitar Shop has been selected to be the guitar shop in the USA to carry the Captain's wares.
Many of you probably remember Tommy's Guitar Shop was carrying D*A*M pedals in 2006-2007, prior to the Captain making changes in the way he sold pedals.
Here is a little background story from my fuzzy memory. I have been a D*A*M enthusiast since I bought my first MKII Pro, in early 2005, from Music Toyz. That pedal changed my outlook on guitar tones and my fuzz addiction began.
At the time I was working at Guitarville in Wa. state. I contacted David to find out if we could carry his pedals. We set up a dealership and I sold D*A*M pedals at GV, until I left to open my own store in the summer of 2006. The Captain was the first line I contacted to carry at my new shop. After all they are my favorite pedals. I set up my D*A*M dealership and got to work. At that time D*A*M was being sold out of 10 or so shops in the USA. I don't remember the actual number, but there were several dealers.
Late in 2007 (if memory serves me right), due to economy funk and crazy currency exchange rates, David made the hard decision to go back to simple in house sales. I completely understood and supported his decision.
That did not stop my love for D*A*M. I continued to buy pedals on David's ebay auctions, special forum builds and also from fellow forum members. I have always enjoyed the D*A*M community and have had great interactions with many fellow forum members. I still own every D*A*M I have ever bought for myself. Never have sold from my personal D*A*M stash.
Fast forward to 2012 and the D*A*M pendulum has made its swing back to the USA!
To get the ball rolling we have a small batch of Grease Box GB-80, GB-83 and Fuzzrongs being built. These pedals will be making there way across the pond in the very near future. They will be available for purchase.
I will maintaining wait lists for pedals that are in production. Feel free to contact me on my store email, and I will get you on a list. List will be managed on first come first serve basis for a specified model.
