Best amp for D*A*M pedals?
What is the best amp for the capt's pedals? What is the capt's choice for amplification and wooden stringed thing? For r&d and testing...

Sickle, which Swart Amp do you have? I've always been intrigued by his work.Sickle wrote:Matamps get the big thumbs up. They have good cleans and can be hammered to the point of agony with preamp saturation.
My Swart digs D*A*M's as well, but there's much less headroom, so I have to dial it in a little more carefully.

Well I was going to chip in with Matamp. I'm no expert, (as Matamp is all I've got!), but the pedals do sound pretty good through them.
If you're in the UK I would recommend calling them and doing the factory 'tour'. Well worth it.

They work great with every amp I've tried.
I believe uses a Matamp & Gordon Smith SG or a Strat. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

A good mate of mine is currently working for them... he's my old amp and pedal tech... i've never played one before...tom3949 wrote:Well I was going to chip in with Matamp. I'm no expert, (as Matamp is all I've got!), but the pedals do sound pretty good through them.

i'm not into channel switching amps, i currently play a 66 bassman that i've had the circuit modified to be taken back to the AA864 circuit... its an amazing amp... if matamp did something like this then i might be interested...
when he gets back, we're contemplating starting a small amp/pedal co... but i'm not sure when he's due back yet... so it's a bit pie in the sky right now...
