Greetings fellow fuzz freak. If you lust after filthy Fuzz tones, huge slabs of dirty Distortion or a little something to kick your valve amp up into natural Overdrive you've come to the right place.

Differential Audio Manifestationz offer you a righteous selection of fuzzy nuggets that are built to impeccably high standards featuring a host of mouth watering flavours and finishes. Each and every D*A*M pedal is built with the same care and attention to detail as the next and all go through rigorous testing procedures before dispatch. Our effects are pure analogue in flavour and only the highest quality parts and components are used to create these magical little boxes. Mechanical hard wire True Bypass is always fitted as standard, no electronic of buffered switching is used. The circuit boards are assembled using point to point construction techniques using high quality hand cut Vero board without the use of any toxic solvents. D*A*M do the very utmost to use parts and finishing techniques that are not harmful to animals or to the environment that we all live in.

D*A*M Stompboxes hail from the dank and the wet in South Yorkshire England. Our lo-fi production team consists of one man, David A Main, and one woman, Linzi Haynes. We also have a one man operation based in the US, that be Donovan, he handles Administration and our lovely forum. Every aspect of the construction process being 100% hand made from start to finish by a real live human being, from the drilling and finishing of the enclosures to parts selection and final assembly. D*A*M isn't based in a factory or even in a workshop but in my home. I work from a small outbuilding when I machine the cases and utilize several rooms in the house where we build the circuit boards, do the final assembly and testing. I mainly use hand tools, no grand machinery so in some ways I like to think the pedals are much more crafted than purely just being built.

"Less is more" While the majority of D*A*M pedals are very simple in design they do rely on careful selecting of components, especially the pedals that use discrete components (transistors rather than Integrated Chips), to achieve the correct tones. Germanium elements would be the main culprit for taking up time and need careful testing; you can't just pull one out of a box and expect it to sound right. Certain tests need to be done before a part is even considered for use within a pedal and even then it could still fail the test pedal. Germanium fuzz boxes in particular will need careful transistor tests as they are designs that use more than one Germanium device. Three sets of tests are done before I can even use a set of transistors in a pedal. Leakage, hfe & stability tests followed by hfe selection into the appropriate matched sets and then finally sound tests in a test pedal. Only then can the parts go into a finished pedal and that has to be done for each and every pedal without fail.

D*A*M was born out of the idea of creating a fusion between the old and new, superior quality vintage styled tones with low noise circuitry, packaged in a quality compact design with modern features that are built to withstand a life time of use and abuse. In a world where musicians are increasingly swamped by a growing number of emulators, simulators, digital based multi effects systems and cheaply made mass produced pedals D*A*M offer you pure unadulterated analogue tones that work in harmony with your set-up not against it.

...Simple but effective.
