Just waiting on someone who has a non-fucked Coronado Automatic to get me the scale length measurement on his. Mine has 24.25 inch scale but has been fretted like a Strat 25.5 inch. I might end up replacing the fretboard instead of moving the bridge and trem.

So Hagstrom set their truss rods into an H shaped bar of aluminium. Very cool! The previous repairer has sliced the truss rod in half lengthways then bolted an extra bit of aluminium on the end to attach the headstock. A subtle blend of madness and genius :bong2:

Now I need to clean off the mystery glue and wood filler then get it all level. I’ll try warm water to see if it softens but I might just have to sand it carefully.

In for rehabilitation:

Also the friend that brought it to me also gave me a box full of odd-ball amp transformers, most of which I havent identified yet, but it included this which he says is an OG Sovtek Mig 60 output transformer. The story seems plausible since the guy is somewhat EHX-adjacent.

I passed on one of these about 20 years ago for about £10. Wish I bought it!

Turned my Maestro into a B-bender on the Epi Olympic. Works pretty well but I may have to tweak it to increase the break angle if I keep it like this.
