Most older ones are wound G, which I prefer, but i do have a spare old plain G one - I'd have to measure it - might be Guild one which I think have a different string spacing or something.

Bah! The post holes are about 1mm closer together than a standard bigsby bridge. If you had the separate thumbwheel posts it would still work. You can have it if you want.

mini-toggle inquiry for series/parallel wiring

possible to use a 9 lug on-on switch in place of a 6 lug on-on switch if i omit or ignore one row of lugs???

would be fantastic because i really dont want to order anything to get this project finished.
loaded a set of ed elliot mosrite pickups (with original 60's mosrite covers and rings) in the morales last night

A bloke who lives 1 minute away contacted me out of the blue about a simple battery snap repair. To my delight he dropped off this 81 black label TS9! It’ll be interesting to see which chip it has and give it a good, rigorous play test.

Yeah, I’ve heard good things about them but not had chance to play one before. Been ill for a few days but will hopefully get chance to play it tonight.

I’ve got one from 1984 with the JRC chip and it sounds awesome.

JRC 2043JDD Chip as expected. Only tube screamer variant I have to compare atm is my old Aria ADT-1 which is a good pedal but the TS9 beats it hands down. It’s a shame so many people swap the chips out in these.
