RoShi Pedals ELF Fuzz demo

Post by HorseyBoy »

Image

Cover of a Creations Unlimited instrumental, "Crystal Illusion", to demo the ELF Fuzz, a fantastic Elk Sustainar/Triangle Muff from RoShi Pedals. Done in GarageBand using a Rode mic, a 1970 Vibro Champ, a Castledine wah, the ELF Fuzz and a Jazzmaster with Lance Amplification Wide Range Mini Humbucker pickups. You'll need to click through to Soundcloud, but if you do, I promise there will be fuzz:

You won't hear it from this, but the ELF has a stack of bottom end to go with the treble sizzle. Range on the Tone pot is great and it also works really well with the Sustain backed off and the guitar volume rolled back. Which you also won't hear in this:-)

Thank you, kind sirs. My only regret is that I didn't show off more of the ELF's versatility. I originally planned to break up the lead stuff and use different guitar and settings combinations to highlight different sounds, but once I started recording I was having so much fun I just kept playing and forgot all about that.

But there is a massive bottom end available as well, and if you roll the Sustain or guitar volume back a touch, it's really great for note definition on chords.
