I need to do really get into these things… with the 103… nix the spectacular SonicVI MKII and add the Jerms MKI.5/MKII and VOXISH to the party.
Pigdog is fucking outstanding. I don’t think there’s a better setting - attack at full, volume around 3:00. Guitar volume is the key. Plug anything into it. it refuses to disappoint.
Loads of gain. thick sweet tone. not as raspy n ripping as Sonic’s Vox, but hey, they be different beasts, right? VOX TB and MK1.5 - somewhat similar but different circuits, correct?
Vox has a bit less booty and a touch more high end texture n grit. Single coils and P90’s scream… humbuckers bring a bit more thickness to the table and rip twice as nasty.
Cleans up pretty alright when ya back off the guitar volume. Loves neck pickups.
And we all know Dan’s MKII’s are some of the best out there. VOLUME and tone, oh that sweet, sweet MKII tone.

It is a Solid Stompboxes Blunder Built box of
NOS BC108/109’s. specifically voiced this one to be as close to his own Colorsound as he could get, but with more output
I don’t know jack about the Jennings or original CS One Knob Fuzz. What I DO know is this pedal screams bloody murder.
Meathead 88 is supposed to arrive today so I’m anxious to see how these two compare.
I rolled the volume back to 5 on the guitar and it cleaned up a bit… well, the thickfreakness backed off anyway and things got a bit clearer.
Prop’s to erer for the baseball sized control knob.
