thanks to forum member j reeves, he hooked me up with a wonderful italian vox V846. was able to see how our filmcan italy vox replica type ' italia' fared against it. you will hear a slight difference ours has a 59k input R and a few other sweeteners, which makes it a tiny bit hotter.
thank you for listening, everybody! :chillin: :bong2:

Is your Italia the one on the left? That one sounds particularly good although they both sound great.

thanks for listening. i put annotations on youtube saying which was which , but i know not all formats support the on screen annotations. :blaze:
yes, the italia is on the left on screen.
i have revamped my hotrod clyde a wee bit to capture a little more of that ' squishy ' sound, in case someone wants similar tones in a drop in kit or less expensive wah.

here is another compare vid -

Yea the annotations don't work on my iPad but it was still cool to check out. I'd love to hear a side by side comparison of the italia and Clyde circuits!

THANKS!!!!
i can get you close,

these italia and HR clyde clips were both made at same time, same guitar, amp, amp settings, cam location. the only trick is you have to open both of these in two tabs. toggle back and forth. and ignore the fulltone in each. ( the hr clyde is same as one shown above ^^^)

ok, new italia variations, might as well post them in this thread.

the MINI-TALIA. built into the new mini crybaby cbm95. dunlop did a very nice job engineering the mechanicals on this. good or bad, the foot movement is 75% longer travel when compared at exact pivot point compared to a traditional crybaby.

this allows very fine control of all the subtleties. i like it quite a bit.

our mini has same circuit board and all same components as the full size italia, exc the pot. we had t use the one that came in there. pretty nice, but i put a smaller gear on it to condense the sweep a little. still much wider than a regular crybaby.
