Thunderbird fuzz pedal demos by Nick

These are a few crude lil vids that I made over the last few years of the only boutique pedals that I own, and so this is, perhaps, the only useful/relevant content I can contribute to this forum :badteeth: the clips are all filmed with either my old digital camera, or the camera on the first proper smartphone I finally invested in, about a year ago. Guitar is either my Squier Tele, or my MiM Fender Strat, and the amp is my Vox AC15.

That's right -- I've been registered on the D*A*M forum for almost 11 years, but I've actually never played a D*A*M pedal. If anybody wants to send me one, I'll film the odd clip of it too

Some great pedals and playing here man!
Those pedals sound great through the Vox.
You using a blue or greenback?

According to the model number, my Vox has a Celestion G12M Greenback. It's suitably loud and I like to think that my awful new neighbours downstairs absolutely hate it

Whoa, is it already four years since I made that Supa?! :paranoid: :headpop:
Those are really tasty sounds and the playing is on point. It's great to hear these against the originals.

What comes to the speaker, I highly recommend staying on the lookout for a blue Celestion. I picked one up on the cheap and it made a huge change in the right direction with my AC15.

The blue will be more efficient though and generally louder.
Living in a apartment building that could be good or bad depending on how much you want to piss off the neighbours :D
I love greenbacks for rock and blues for Brit style blues

I gotta say I didn't really notice any change in overall loudness at home volumes when doing the speaker swap. Only that it sounded a lot more like a Vox should to my ears, although it did take a little getting used to.

Maybe it’s rig dependant but I usually notice a difference using G12H and Alnicos in comparison with G12M’s.
In past I’ve preferred using the M’s as I can turn the amp up a bit.

I’ve been enjoying my early Jensen’s for this reason.
The blue for me always felt a little too loud for home in my tweed.
Still, I live in a apartment block so am quite conscious of upsetting the neighbours.
Can’t wait until I can move and crank it up a bit more
