Getting Thick Punchy Kick

Some new techniques I've recently used.

EQ Settings
Add about 7db of gain at 50Hz with a parametric EQ to increase thud.
More attack with a parametric EQ, about 1.5 Q, and +7db at 3500Hz.
More beater with a parametric EQ, 1.5 Q, and +6db at 6000Hz.

Compressor settings
Ratio: 4:1
Attack: 4ms
Release: 200ms
Threshold: 3-6db gain reduction
