Supa Rooster

Post by Zacharia Matilda »

The Red Rooster has always been my favorite DAM pedal. Granted, there are lots I've never tried, but to me it's just perfect. I've found that each RR is unique. For the folks who have tried one, is the Supa an improvement on the original or just a different flavor of boost?

How many of these have been made?

Thanks peeps!

I think 10 went to Joe’s and there was only one batch. If I remember correctly the Captain said the Supa has a Old School flavor to it different then the RE-10’s being more Hi-Fi. I definitely would like to try one also. Hope you can find one.

Technically, no. It's just something I'd been asked about time and time again - A big box Rooster without the bell and whistles. Thought the time was right and was kinda keen on leaving the lil diddy boxes alone this year. The aim is to keep it tonally vintagey rather than the more hi-fi thing I'd been aiming for with the RR-10 and the military transistors, so OC44's, 45's and 71's etc. Dirty bird for the win.

So yeah 'Supa' as in it's bigger and you get less stuff on it. :teeth2:

I will quote myself from a previous topic...
I compared it with my RR-10.
They are similar but different beast :freakout:
The SR-11 felt a tad more compressed maybe; I don't know exactly how to express it...
Sure thing, there's a lot of ''punch'' going on; way more gainier (and dirty) than the RR-10.
The SR-11 seems to offers less highs than the RR-10.
Also, maybe each Rooster offer different flavor even within the same run...
Sure thing, I love both :freakout:
