Still kind of figuring out the level of gain this thing has, how much would people say? Uncompressed/compressed?

Not much fuzz to be had with Roger Miller. Great song though!

I'm currently on my 4th Titan. I had a gold (dark), an old white one that I'm guessing was 'blues' tuned, an ST-07 and finally back to another dark tuned unit in starlight blue.

I went through a few other od/distortion pedals since and they've always lacked the openness, and smooth, high gain goodness that only the titan seems to have. It also reacts to picking dynamics very well rather than being a full on transistor assault to the ears.

I was using a battery when I first got this and within a few days it started sounding a bit flubby with considerable loss of gain. I took the battery out and plugged in a power supply and the titan was completely transformed into a beast to be reckoned with. A chug here and a chug there, plus a blistering lead line once in a while left me in total heavy metal high gain heaven. Fantastic.

The D*A*M Sonic Titan is the unsung hero. Not much info gets posted about it but in my opinion it’s one of the best drive pedals out there. Every thing is Tubescreamer or Klonish the Titan is great pushing a amp or even staking with other pedals.

I’ve had a similar experience to you, had a Blues mod Titan, the orange Matt Pike ST07 and now a pink sparkly dark version.

I love the dark, has ample gain and less treble spike than the other two. Very dynamic and amp like, a very open tone, responds well to pick attack and sounds like a raging Marshall at full whack. Does get extremely loud when you open the volume right up. Great pedal  :freakout:
