Kewl, I had the same reaction when I first played one recently. I never realized what that pedal was all about.

I like it so much I bought two. Granted I had to sell one but it ranks up there with the best of them.

so, I sneaked Dave's sonic titan out to my band rehearsal tonight... Set the sound up just so, never had to touch it again until we packed up 3 hours later!

The Sonic Titans response to picking dynamics haunts me! :paranoid:

Nice to hear. What was the set-up, specifically what type of guitar and pickups were you using?

Gibson les paul custom with classic 57's and a JCM9OO combo(which I hate!).

How does this pedal sound with older Fender tube amps from the fifties and sixties?? I know it sounds awesome with the Matamps of the world, but what about the vintage stuff??

The Titan is a very versatile pedal. It's worked well with every amp I've ever used with it. From subtle boost to full on distorted mayhem.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.

Missed this thread 'til now.
The "LUURRRVVE" threw me, we didn't grow up in the States
with a lot of Middle English inflections in our vernacular
(well, until you discovered Monty Python).

Anyway, Sonic Titan is a very singular pedal and I'm awfully glad that Dave
built something non-fuzz and succeeded in hitting it out of the park.

Wouldn't mind hearing some clips with the Titan from you Philip.
What gets me is all the tweaking,
just crank that bitch and be done with it! -- duende
