Anyone try throwing a silicone fuzz into a titan?

Post by theanalogdream »

I was at home today and realized I never give my jorge tripps silicone fuzzface any love.

Plugged it into the front of the rig and stacked it with a gold titan into my morgan AC20-

...Oh... My... Sweet... Lord.

it was absolutely RULING! The sound was so powerful it was shaking the walls!

Anyone else had the joy of stacking a silicone fuzz into a titan?

Drag'n'fly into Titan is also a very sweet combo.
It's like an orange on a toothpick

I caulked the bath tub with some silicone... Does that count?

You mean like this Dev!

The left hand side is a Sonic Titan - controls (L - R) for Volume - Tone - Gain
The right hand side is a Meathead Deluxe - controls Volume - Filter - Attack

The footswitches relate to the section above but the middle one is the "Mater Bypass" and needs to be active in order to activate the other stomp switches

I'm sure I put this into the one-off section somewhere or other - Total KILLER pedal - the range of effects is phenomenal, makes my little old vintage combos quiver - As for the voodoo image - well I'm saying nothing about that - it lives "within" waiting for the unsuspecting.. :shocked2:

I've several Titans of varying vintage and goodness knows how many meatheads - more than several anuway :rolleyes2: and its fun to chain them together as and when - but this is a particularly nice setup and I've often wondered that Dave hasn't done a few more stackable pedals - this circuit combo or whatever - just imagine a nice mk2 and a Titan or perhaps a Rooster sat up against each other - albeit I'd hope in different graphics.

Saying that I do have one of those "Mo-Fo's" which is effectively one FuzzSound stacked into another - one tweaked for a sixties voicing the other a seventies voice - "Grease & Smoke" was that one's description and when cascaded can hold a note - well pretty much forever I guess !!! - Having said that the "Boneyard" is no slouch when it comes to sustain or producing lush controllable feedback from most setups but has the benefit - because of the Titan- of running a cleaner possibly more controllable "uncontrolled sound" -- Now that doesn't make that much sense to me really but try putting a Titan and Fuzz together - then two fuzzes and you'll see what I mean - OH YES with the MF72 you can do a bit more as it has another set of sockets so you can tuck an extra effect (or several) in between but it gets a little bit "Overkill" with a wah or even fuzzwah inbetween

I guess the Boneyard is pretty much an ideal twinning of two well matched DAM pedals - that is until Dave builds us (me  ) a few stackable Treble Boost and Tonebender combos.... :badlove:

As for the wee "creature" best I know thats a one off but I never dared asked what it's stuffed with beyond DAM grotto mojo
