The most interesting of the fuzzbugs would be the early MKII variant without the power filter cap, but that's actually a thing that was fixed early on for good reason..
That reason being?
With a power filter cap you don't need to limit the attack knob's range (or only in some cases if it's too small) to prevent oscillation.
Everything is transitional.

My old supa mk2 oscillated from around 3 ‘ o’clock on the attack knob.
Would that maybe have had a small value power filter cap?

Yes, yours only had a 25µF. I believe during that era they simply added a second 25µF in parallel in case of oscillation (bringing the total value up to 50µF). Those would be soldered to the wires of the first 25µF. We've seen quite a number of variants of the piggybacked cap, but no WIMAs yet.

There are also units that have two 25µFs soldered to the circuit board. I guess those could be from a slightly later era, when someone had decided that 50µF should be standard? Those are always two WIMAs.
Everything is transitional.

I've had mostly love from the 'normy' ( - love it ) community after the show although one guy called me a disgusting old man exploiting his dead relatives !

I told him I'm 56 , I'm not that old !

I tried to make it entertaining - hope it was
