Probably through the DAM forum, that’s where all the groovy cats score their fuzz :badteeth:

I love the fuzz tones this song has. Any guesses what it might be, MKI, MKI.5, MKII, fuzz face or something else?

Looks like a side view of a Manny’s fuzz in the first pic. The one with the black-painted wooden sides (lit up with flash glare).

maybe?

The Selmer has much steeper of a slope to it than the pedal in those pics, and it also seems rather unlikely that Jimi would've dragged one from the UK all the way to the States. I think Simon's guess is pretty good - I can almost make out the 'glint' of the screws on the front-side of the pedal in the old pics, although the footswitch placement looks slightly different.

Worth noting that there are tons of obscure fuzz pedals from the 60s, that we nowadays might consider "boutique", and that simply haven't survived over the decades (or at least haven't yet surfaced on the Internet) so Jimi's pedal in those pics could be something completely unknown instead.

Yup, well spotted that's the one.
I went with Manny's as I read somewhere that they al least claimed to have sold one of their branded ones to him.
