Looks like a mod. How does it sound?

It sounds cool. I suspected that it was a silicon transistor because it didn't clean up the way that germanium usually does. That said, I have not kept any other hybrid Si/Ge fuzzes because there was something that I didn't like about them. There are some nasal-sounding fuzz sounds I like, but they all had nasal sounds I didn't like. This one sounds great, so I am keeping it as it is. To try to describe the sound more, it still sounds like an early Vox TB, but less treble, more sustain, more gnarly, less bleed of the original clean sound, and less clean up.

Heh, interesting. I've had this thing in a junker box for years. Always thought the black UFO was a replacement, looks pretty much identical.
Vox rocking the hybrid vibes before is was cools?!? Random coincidence? Some weirdo going around changing out transistors in Tone Benders for the kicks?

Any tips on this one? It looks to me to be original except for the AC125 and AC128. Or do other bits look modded too? Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
