That Earth looks very similar to the Plushes of the era, do you know the transformer # behind the power tubes? Biggest difference I see is that it is made from particle board. www.plush-amps.com has my Plushes on it.

For the pedal, looks like it is from sometime in 1974 from the op-amp, would guess poor soldering, might never have worked right, just needs to have all the solder points touched up.

I'd use denatured alcohol to clean off the gunk, and if that doesn't work then Acetone.
Broken traces are simple to fix....

Sickle, can you please be so kind and have a look, if the chip is still in the pcb of your Graphic Fuzz?
I mean, I have one on my desk now, and really don´t know where it´s from....
BTW, when you have a look at your Graphic Fuzz now..... hows about taking additional gut shots ?

Gottfried, you may have missed this picture I posted?
No no, I didn´t but this was on Fri Mar 13, 2009 5:48 pm and today - when I asked my question - it was Sun Mar 15, 2009 1:44. So a lot of time between, maybe your chip isn´t in your pcb anymore ? You really should control this.

BTW, the picture in doubt has been cut and doesn´t show the surrounding wiring needed for the trace.....
By the way, two of its pins are not soldered in on the board. There are holes in the board for them, but no solder or tracks, so I guess those pins are unused in the circuit design.
Those pins are not needed, because it is only a single op-amp (made by teledyne in 1974, exactly like the one which is on my desk now).

No its not. Yours is a 7409.

:bleh:
Yes I explained it to you before:
You posted the picture on March 13 while mine is from March 15. So calculate 15 - 13 = 2. exactly 2 days difference. When you took your picture the date code on your chip said 7407. Now add this 2: 7407 + 2 = 7409 and that is exactly what the chip is showing today when I took the picture: 7409.

Do you think, that chips aren´t getting older ? :hihi:

The two pins left floating are the 741's offset compensation pins. You do not need them except for really tweaked things, and then you shouldn't use a 741 (after about 1972).

I have some speakers that almost match the fender dual professional, just off by a day. Peeves me to think, a day from really being valuable...

*begs*
The prospect of running an ESR fuzz through an ESR amp is too tasty.
