Arbiter Fuzz Face NKT275 (Marcons) [DATA DUMP]

Post by spwonderboy »

Had to take this one home :headbanger:
It turned out to be a great sounding low gain fuzz with nice overdriven characteristics.
Kinda reminded me of a cranked tube amp.

Great score, congratulations!
Do you happen to have a multimeter? Would be nice to have some voltages for reference.
Everything is transitional.

Awesome. Would love to get an original germanium fuzz face one day. They do seem to have that delicious low gain sound that most modern replicas don't get right. Perfect through an already cranked tube amp

Really sweet score!

Not that I've played an original, but I love how Fuzz Faces can be a massive wall of fuzz or more OD-like depending on parts, transistors, etc. I'd really be curious about voltages too. I'd be willing to bet the Q2 collector is not that 4.5v that people think is "the" right voltage. This makes me want to build another clone...
