1967 Vox Tone Bender Professional MKII [PORN DUMP]
Scored this one about 3 years ago now. It's actually the second Vox (of the three) with the mixed red/white earth wires to have surfaced in the Netherlands, so it looks a little like there might be a nest of them there (and being fluent in Dutch sure makes it easier to score them! )

WOW - a big fan of the bigger input and output caps! Is it just the Vox labelled Pro MK2 that has those?

15pf input/output caps were just something that Sola Sound happened to be using during the period that this pedal was built. They're very common in Vox MKII's (until the OC81D era) but we've seen them in some SupaFuzzes as well. There might also be other funky 'OEM' MKII's with 15pf's, which happened to have been built during the '15pfs era', but if they exist, then they haven't surfaced yet...spofftastic wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 5:54 pm WOW - a big fan of the bigger input and output caps! I have another Vox with OC81D's, but it's currently on holiday in Finland
I've also got an empty OC81D-era Vox enclosure that I'm thinking of turning into a cute (nerdy) planter...

Thanks Nick - I always try to pay attention when I see MKII pics, although I do not pretend to know much about the circuit - just familiar with the layout like everyone else around here. I was lucky to score a 2020 Sola MK2 like this with 15nf i/o caps and it rocks.Nick wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 6:24 pm15pf input/output caps were just something that Sola Sound happened to be using during the period that this pedal was built.
