Just posted the pics in the "shit, just bought it" thread. Until yesterday the guy hadn't played it since 1984. Volume pot is frozen all of the way up. Very rapsy sounding - sounds like a real fuzz - not much of the garage rock sounding clean signal bleed through I've always gotten with the Ge versions.

I just found one like the above in a local guitar shop... the one I have at home is a V2 (the one with the tape on the circuit board.) The one at the guitar shop is VERY clean too, is in verrrry good condition, including the yellow sticker on the back of the battery door and all that. He's asking 300, which is what I paid for my V2... what do you guys think, should I stretch to get it? Anyone that would make it worth my while to try to flip it?

I just paid $200 off Craigslist for one exactly like it (no tape on board). It was in pretty good shape but one of the pots is frozen in place, missing yellow tag from bottom and missing one knob. I really do like the sound of these very raspy.

"We had already shipped 200 units when LeBlanc discovered a problem with the pedal when it was sitting on a cold concrete floor. We then switched to silicon transistors and a modular network built for us by Sprague Electric."

This is such a stupid quote, can we please refrain from reposting it on the internet whenever a fuzzrite discussion comes up?

My Ge arrived a few days agp - pots are CTS with '65 codes, and transistors are '68. 0.05 and 0.002 caps - It sounds good but only at the top 10% of rotation on the fuzz pot - guts here

65 pot codes. Found in the back of a 66 pro reverb.
