Tuna melt a decent pedal for the cash, think I bought one for £15 years ago.

I'm a fan of the Voodoo Labs trem if you wanted to spend a bit more cash, it's a killer pedal.

Don't forget about a Basic Audio Throbby. It does a sweet, smooth tremolo and it can also get slow and choppy.

+1 on the diamond trem, volume control is pretty important (for me anyway)

Ive had a flint, supa trem, Swamp thang, keeley tr-2 and a mobius. The diamond blows all of them out of the water with the sound and features. Its a little bit more but worth every penny ; ) Finally ended my search for trem pedals

Just goes to show you how people hear things differently. The Diamond definitely has more features than the Demeter or the Supa Trem, but I didn't like the sound nearly as well. I sold mine. Still have the Supa Trem 2 and my old Demeter.

I've really liked the demos of the Throbby. Very cool sounding trem.

Got a Tuna Melt on the way. Cheaper than a TR-2 & sounds better on the youtube vids I checked out. Looking forward to trying it out!

It sounds better in real life too and with a flick of the switch (or knob as it is now) it gets pretty percussive.

Anyone know what it's based on? Cool cat stuff and in turn this are usually clones.

This blog looks cool:

Quite enjoyed the TR-2 when I had it... got replaced by a custom tap trem later, which got replaced by Dr.Sci Tremolessence which got replaced by another custom tap trem

For the money, TR-2 is REALLY GOOD. It's simple, easy to dial in, compact, indestructible like Boss pedals usually are... Pretty cool. For more options, the Tremolessence is a great choice, I was, however, disappointed by one thing. I tend to like my trem moderately fast on both guitar and bass and just around the speed I like, the Tremolessence's Rate knob was a bit jumpy and hard to dial in. But in general it's a great pedal and it's actually quite inspiring

Wrote the last two songs after getting it:
