Cool article Philip!

Much volume needed, tis all.

Fuzz boxes were still a fairly new fenominum in March of 67, I wonder if EC decided to try any out later on?..

Btw, what's this Nashville setting/position they speak of? :hmm:

Oh, weird. Thanks man. They're talking about Nashville tuning then. I didn't know any Cream songs were done with that.

I wondering if it's an old term for a playing position or something.

"playing position"..? - high up on the neck?

"...the traditional Nashville position, aimed where the body and neck of the guitar meet..."

"The equipment usually employed in the recording process was utilized to amplify the sound
of instruments into a p.a system. The gear offered to performers was high-end, but some of
the microphone stands began shifting position due to loose bearings. Many of the acts were
acoustic guitar players that needed amplification. To accommodate this, staff positioned a
Sennheiser 441 mic in the traditional Nashville position, aimed where the body and neck of
the guitar meet.
Members of acts jam and practice the dynamics of crescendos they will play
later in the evening."

Too funny. I wonder how much he got paid for that advert. I love the look on his face as he is half smirking, looking like, Yea, right, I, uh, love this stuff.
