Tremolo pedal that nails Pink Floyd's "Money"
Hi guys,
Does anyone know of a pedal that can get that strong choppy tremolo sound that Gilmour got on "Money"? I think he may have used an EMS Synthi Hi-Fly or a Kempex tremelo. None of my amps with tremolo get even close. I'd like to find a pedal that has that cool strong choppiness.
Thanks!

Great deals with: Stu, Graham, Sickle, Devnulljp, SteveG, peps1, paine, fuzzface6669, jetofuj, sciencefriction, jerms, rafmax, Bigfoot2000, whiskeyfuneral, monolithfuzz.

maybe a Goatkeeper
Has a square wave but you can experiment and create your own. Square with rounded corners for instance.

I had a Nobels? tremolo pedal that got it. That was back in 90's though and my memory may not be that good.

Thanks Gents. I'll look into those two.
Any other recommendations?

Ok, thanks. None of my amps can do it either.
I'm looking into the Dr.Scientist Tremolessance pedal as another possible option. I've emailed them to get their opinion..

According to the GIlmourish page, the Tremolo was done with the EMS Synth. I also read about the use of a Kepex Processor (which is not a tremolo)
I was going to suggest the Goatkeeper too. I played one for a long time it has endless possibilities. I am not sure how close it will get you but it is highly tweakable.

Thanks again guys.
I'm leaning towards the Goatkeeper so far. I emailed Malleko and they said it can do that sound easily.
Ryan at Dr Scientist suggested either some sort of FET or a digital square wave trem. His old trem was an Optical type and not as strong in the square wave choppiness...

The tremolo pedal I recommend to everyone is the Source Audio Vertigo. Great control over wave shapes and the sounds are awesome.
