Sho-Sound Boss Tone with Strat

Post by Dullboy »

Hello there,
today I received a old Boss Tone unit by Sho-Sound and now I'm thinking how to use it with a strat for example. It's easy to plug it with Gibson type guitars...
Do you have experience with those plug and play units?

By the way, the sound is killer!
Thanks a lot!

If you have a true bypass looper, you can put a bosstone there with patch cord and play Strat through it.
Or little resoldering to swap in and output.
The Orange Squeezer Compressor even has a guide how to put it straight to amp

i used one of these with my old BOSS Tone and strat.

had to shave off / make round the end of the metal barrel to get it to fit all the way into the guitar jack.

Cool! thanks!!
I'm not too keen and capable to modify the circuit though. The looper could do the trick for me.

I went the looper method. Jim (Jerms) made me one that even matches the Boss Tone finish. :badteeth:

I was gonna say the same thing. I remember Jerms making a dual pedal for these Boss Tones it was super bad ass and functioned just like a pedal.
