Those digital fender mustang amps are actually pretty decent sounding for a beginner guitar amp. Tons of amp models and effects built in.

That's a good call, very underrated. I really think they will only start going up in price in the next few years.

I remember the days I had one of those old gorilla amps and I would crank every knob and play Nirvana, Sonic Youth and Ramones all day. The neighbors loved me. Ahh the memories.

If you want to spend a little what about a silver face fender champ sometimes they can be found cheaper then on reverb. Simple and sound good. I finally scored a Silverface Vibro champ. Good luck with your search

I remember those!

He'll probably end up stealing my Vibro Champ and I'll end up with with the Gorilla amp...

I think the black star HT-1R combo is a rather cool little amp.
I had one I used to play through a 2x-12 with Celestion G-12H speakers. Sounded great.

Have you considered looking for a Vox Pathfinder 15R? I'd be tempted to keep an eye out for one for sale locally. They can sometimes be found for pretty cheap, and they sound really good...

Great deals with: Stu, Graham, Sickle, Devnulljp, SteveG, peps1, paine, fuzzface6669, jetofuj, sciencefriction, jerms, rafmax, Bigfoot2000, whiskeyfuneral, monolithfuzz.
