Re: fuzzaround vs flesh head
I've got both of them. Not a whole lot of overlap tonally between the two (at least to my ears). The Fleshhead is kind of MK II-ish (which I guess its circuit is based on) while the Fuzzaround really has its own thing happening. Its kinda difficult for me to describe this stuff, but if you have any specific questions, I'll be glad to try and answer them.

Re: fuzzaround vs flesh head
i have a flesh head,
have never tried the fuzzaround.
which is "gainier"?
"edgier"?
how does the fuzzaround compare to say, a meathead?
thanks for any ideas.

Re: fuzzaround vs flesh head
Both have a ton of gain, so they're probably equal in that respect (or really close anyway). The Fuzzaround does have significantly more volume on tap though. They Fuzzaround generally seems to cut through a little easier. The Fleshead can get darker, but the bottom end on the Fuzzaround is much tighter. Even though its a vintage circuit, the Fuzzaround sounds much more modern to my ears. The Fleshhead (and the meathead as well) has more of that loose, vintage kind of feel. Hope that helps.
