Which Current D*A*M Sounds Most Like a MK1.5?
I'm hoping that the gold Sola contains a MK1.5 circuit...but I've also been wondering if there's a currently made D*A*M that sounds like a 1.5.
Super Bee setting on a '66? Maybe even a Drag n' Fly?
Anyone care to opine?

I read somewhere the Captain said that the Super Bee mode on a 1966 was an optimized (and stylized Mk I.V)(i.e. not an exact clone.) I certainly could be misquoting him though.

I would guess a Super Bee too, but at a lower gain setting?
Oh, DB? That's just slang for Dandy Big muff collector.

In case you have not seen/heard it, I made a clip of my mk1.5, the day before I sent it to the US...

Of course I regret we never maximized the mk1.5 level and the Fender de luxe volume..!

I've owned a Pigdog MK1.5 and 1966 at different points in my life and didn't find them to be very similar in sound at all despite the similarities in circuit architecture. Chilled out Sola MKII definitely comes closer as you say.
