D*A*M vs. Cornish P-2

I like my P2 but I would say it is a different beast than any of Dave's pedals. For me, Dave's Meathead comes darn close to the P2 and for the money it is a hell of a bargain. Dave really outdid himself with the Meathead, I am kicking myself for not getting into that one sooner.

Right now the MK II is killing me in spades and I simply love that thing. It has a real gritty and vintage sound to it, if that makes sense. I will definitely be on the hunt for another, if they go in the Ebay store or a place opens up on a later list.

I also am waiting for an NG from Cornish, after listening to some Lou Reed that was about all it took.

Yeah man, Pete's a great guy. Please don't do anything that might upset him.

Buy some of Pete's cables, they are the best in my opinion. I've been using them for years, loads of abuse and no probs. They are a bargain. Buy some. Buy some now. Then buy some more later. Pete's a nice guy.

Agreed on those cables - Ive had them all and love the nice Evidence ones - though one of the earlier leads was a little stiff for using over any length (and hugely expensive) they did bring out a thinner (blue rather than green I think) one which I think is outstanding (guess IM A SLUT FOR THE FANCIER BITS AND BOBS! )

But I use Cornish for interpedal links - used to use George Ls but the plastic covers always fell off!! - I alo have a handful of regular guitar cables from Cornish and find them very well made - MIND YOU THEY ARENT THAT CHEAP ANYMOR!

Watch out for those coiled Bullet cables - so bloody heavy they pull all your pedals about (mind you same can be said about the fancier Evidence ones - stiff as a young mans ................well we'll leave that bit out shall we!

I still like the old red or green coiled cables from the sixties if you can find them (even though those cheap pressed steel plugs are noisy as hell!) - got some vox branded Grey ones in original boxes a few years back too - all moulded grey plastic plugs on coiled leads bit like the stuff on old Maestro fuzztones = and though the lead itself was pretty thin they were a good bit "quieter" than those riveted metal plug jobs
