62 Vox AC-10 and 68 Gibson ES-330
Just a quick little play with my 1962 Vox AC-10. Just put some NIB GE El-84s innit today and man she sounds good. The Gibson ES-330 is the obvious choice for such an amplifier, no? iPhone only recording so excuse the sound quality. But I figured there wasn't a ton of ac-10 demos on the web so I figured I'd put one up!

Magnificent sounding amp! I've been kicking myself for years for passing on a gray panel AC10 trapezoidal head and 2-10 cab that sat in my favorite store for two years. I could never wrap my head around having a two piece ten watt amp, but it sounded godly. Cranking it with a Les Paul was quite an experience. I decided to keep looking for a combo, which I never did find. Should have bought it!

Holy shit, that sounds lovely - and all just straight into the amp. Bet it'd love a Rangemaster in front of it.
Agree with charge that the vibrato is pretty special, too. I could sit in front of that thing for days…

mmmm...tasty....
I've been curious and looking for a vintage AC10 for years. Seems the twins are much like a baby AC30 to my ear - great cleans to go with the grind. Not a big fan of the AC15 cleans. How about the single?
Anyway, great sounds and playing!

Thanks guys. I need to do another demo with a rangemaster plugged in! I forgot to mention that it has replacement 1952 rola organ speakers in it, that I pilfered from an old Hammond tone cabinet. Super small magnets on those speakers so it's a bit quieter than it would be with stock speakers (which sadly didn't come with the amp). Also need to demo the vibrato intensity control affects the gain on the vibrato channel even when the vibrato is turned off. It's actually a nice way to get a little more tonal change out of the amp!
