What I like most about [it] is how sensitive the string response becomes. I have old injuries to my fretting hand on like, the worst fingers possible (index & thumb) so adding the HP-1 really helps stave off fatigue and discomfort.

Re: interfax HP-1
I'm surprised there aren't many clones of this pedal are these hard to clone? I bet a Jerms Percolator would be rather kick ass. I found this type of enclosure on the bay. Someone should do a run of these. They sound very useful and nothing comes close to these as what's out there. Just an idea.

Re: interfax HP-1
Plenty of clones of the HP-1 out there, but, like a fuzz face or a Mk I, the circuit is supposed to be more than a little finicky in regards to components/tuning.
Frederic Effects have done a bunch of HP-1s. Here's a nice demo from our own Chugs of their current pedal:

The Catalinbread Karma Suture is another good one:

Good discussion here, too: http://tonefiend.com/guitar/museum-lost ... ercolator/

I've owned two of the Fredric Effects HP's and they're great. Excellent vid too. I didn't realize the Karma Suture was an HP clone.
