Re: Crack pipe of the week auction PT2
I agree with Meh , someone destroyed this pedal with the holes . If someone has the money to spend on an old Big Muff they are not going to want to pay for something messed with and will wait for a good condition original .
I bought a 1975 Rams Head Big Muff for $100 from Memphis when Nevermind dropped in the early 90’s . It’s been my favourite sound for decades .
When I recently played all my Big Muffs I will admit the vintage Big Muff sounded the best . However it was no better than a very early Castledine V 2 that I’ve just given away to my friend .
What I’m saying is for the price of these vintage Muffs you would be better off buying a Castledine and taking a holiday to Fiji .

he's a flipper, I'm sure he got it for a great price due to the many holes. I wonder what all those holes were for?

Totally agree with you on the holes, it really fucked up the enclosure.Fuzzisthebest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 12:34 pm I agree with Meh , someone destroyed this pedal with the holes . Stu’s, David’s, and Steve’s builds (among the others) are a big reason why I don’t really have the stomach for vintage pedals. There are so many awesome builders doing great work that I will take that trip!

I love the vintage muffs but totally agree. There is zero consistency. My pedalboard has a rams head muff on it, made by my favourite builder - JERMS1bottlerocket wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 4:14 pmTotally agree with you on the holes, it really fucked up the enclosure.Fuzzisthebest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 12:34 pm I agree with Meh , someone destroyed this pedal with the holes . I think he's a serial flipper. Look at his / her past sales though, do people really pay those prices? Astounding!innerflight wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 11:47 pm https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/193356333314 ... 3356333314
