actually I also bought an MIJ Jaguar this year, but the Gear of the Year winner is the Jazzmaster

This is my first Jazzmaster (CIJ 1999 approx) and I'm thrilled too. Sounds and plays perfect.
As always, I tried to make it "even better" and replaced the pickups with a "Brandonwound Noiseless". Not actually for noise, just liked how they sounded on youtube. Played around a bit and switched right back. The seller had swapped the Japanese originals for a rather unknown "Toltec". They are just so good that you don't want to deal with the sound anymore. I also ordered a custom “Toltec” set for my Telecaster

Perhaps we Need a Jazzy apprecation Thread. I sold my second Japan Mascis Jazzy this year to my buddy. I still have the main and first one.
