1966 and Ezekiel...

Post by SBlue »

The 1966 is becoming one of my all time favorite fuzz, and I have a lot of fuzz pedals!!!
The Ezekiel was my last D*A*M bought and I had to admit that is the best bass fuzz/distortion I've heard.
1966 is with the guitar on the right speaker.
Zeke with the bass, of course.
Guitar on the left is straight into the amp, and acoustic is recorded using mics, not direct.
It's the song Metaphora.
Just a little fun. Hope you find it useful as to a little bit of what both the 1966 and Zeke are capable of.

I REALLY liked the first song. I wish I could put something like that together. But, now I have gas for a 1966 that I didn't before. :bangs head:

That's great!

The '66 sits in the mix really nicely.

the zeke sounds amazing. Like the beat on the first one, what did you use to make it?
I have been contemplating getting a 1966 so it's good to hear it in action

Yeah, really nice stuff.

The '66 has such a distinctive character.

i'mlikeajungle,
The Ezekiel can get very distorted. It will get way granier than what you hearing. You can say that you're hearing a "polite" Zeke on my song.

modeerf,
The drums were samples. For bass I've used a P Bass style bass to an Ezekiel to an small bass amp. Miced using a SM57 and going to a Digi002.
Guitars are a straight P90 to the amp on the left(Matchless SC30), and on the right the guitar is a humbucker, and hits the 1966 and a Fender Dual Showman. SM57 as a mic going to Digi002.
That was my intention... to show how the pedals work in a song. There are a lot of great soundfiles of DAM pedals by itself, which are great to know how the pedal sound, but not many with drums, bass, acoustic, other guitars, etc...

Thanks again everybody... and I'll make sure I keep the songs with DAMs coming...
These are two pedals that really inspire me to play! Hey, isn't that The Captain's intention?
Cheers!
