I wouldn’t say the boards look nothing alike - parts look very similar. Here’s a pic of the top of the board. Can’t get a look at the tops of the pots as they are held down by capacitors…

cool! is it strips of foil? are they lifting at the edges?
i made some pedals this way with copper tape long ago

It looks to be some type of commercially made Vero alternative, but it’s not lifting anywhere. Seems to be good quality whatever it is. Pretty clear this is some kind of experimental Sola Sound produced board. I mean they must have been prototyping designs along the way. But is this a link between the T&B MkIII and the MKIII or is it a forerunner of the T&B?

Theemadcap1 used to have an early Rotosound MKIII with some very similar orange TCC capacitors inside, which might be a clue as to the position of this one in the timeline. Those silver Ei(?) 25µF capacitors were also used in early germanium MKIII's. The general construction of this pedal is obviously also a lot more similar to the usual germanium-transistor MKIII, than the veroboard 'treble n' bass' model, but who knows...

I'm very wary about crying 'prototype' whenever something unusual pops up, without there being some proper evidence (anecdotal etc) behind the claim, because unusual Sola Sound pedals seem to pop up all the time This might've just been a very short-lived version of the 'treble n' bass' MKIII, which we haven't seen any other examples of yet. The space between the pots and the general dimensions of the board suggest that this would have been housed in (or intended for) a conventional two-knob MKIII enclosure.
