Fuck Mike Fuller. Sad day for the employees of Fulltone though, who are undoubtedly just regular, minimum wage folks who are now out of a job. Fulltone always seemed to me to be a company that touted their products as the best of the best but in reality werent any better sounding than their much cheaper boss or ibanez equivalents. I briefly had a fulltone tube tape echo. It was certainly a well made piece of equipment but man once I got a real deal EP-2 there was just no comparison. The real echoplex sounded so much better. Night and day difference.

Echofix has the right tape for your TTE
One time we were fixing a TTE for a customer and couldn’t get the flutter and wow out of it even after replacing it with Fulltone’s tape and a new roller. Because we just wanted to look after the guy, we sent it to Echofix and it came back perfect. Ironically, the brand new Fulltone tape was the problem.
Our amp tech queried this with Mike who displayed his usual amount of charm and wit.

Agree. My old big box Fulltone Soul-Bender V1 still rips.
