The Captain wrote:Phew! Kinda relived to read that, man. I've been a little edgy about how these will go down :paranoid: Great words there Xan and a fucking amazing clip!! As always a real joy to listen too. Nice opening riffage too!! :trippn:

Did I mention about setting the controls at noon or did you just do that by instinct?? I really wanted this pedal to be playable and kinda like a neutral palette, if that makes sense, with everything at noon so even cooler still you started out your clip that way :tu:

Well you certainly have nothing to worry about as far as how these are recieved... I seriously think this is my all time favourite fuzz now. As Jkranitz already pointed out, this is destined to be another classic. I expected it to be great, but this is on another level. I'm really looking forward to running it through my Jubilee later with the Les Paul. I'll be posting another clip or 2 later on tonight for sure.
Dave, I really have to thank you so much and give you massive props for making this pedal. I've NEVER been disappointed with anything I've bought from you, and this once again exceeded my expectations.

And thanks to everyone else for the kind words, it's greatly appreciated and it just makes doing clips all the more rewarding.

Another Demo...

Post by smogfalls »

So, as promised, here's another demo of the Fuzz Sound MkIII. This time I'm using my Strat w/Bareknuckle Mother's Milk pickups, into my Deluxe Reverb w/Cannabis Rex speaker.
The Fuzz Sound is set with the Volume at noon, Tone set at 1 o'clock and the sustain up full.
Well anyway, I start out with the clean tone, then kick in the Fuzz Sound and noodle for a few seconds, then I go into Snowblind by Sabbath, then Just Got Paid by ZZ Top...

The shit thing about uploading on Soundclick is that you're limited to 128kbps mp3s and that really degrades the quality quite alot. It makes the high end mushy and adds a kind of blanket over the sound. If anyone would like to hear to the raw wav files, or even 320kbps mp3's, just drop me a line and I'll email em' to you. They really do sound twice as good.

Oh, and to record this I used an SM57, Presonus Firepod, SOundcraft mixer into Logic where I added a dash of reverb and limiting.

Cheers,
Xan :)

another DEMO :badteeth: with sustain FULL !
it's got more distortion like feel than MK2s... :ugeek:
less smooth than fuzzaround.

I am really hurting now...
I wish I took the day off on the day of the auction. :cthulhu2:

if you are planning to do more demo with Gibson... :badsonar:
I have a request.. can you please play with your bass-treb knob? :hail:

I will do indeed Sir, no problem. If I get time I'll record another clip tonight, (got a party to get to in a bit... looking forward to a nice chilled Cobra beer!). And I will use my Les Paul and demonstrate the effect of the Treble N' Bass control.

Don't Panic!

It's unlikely that the lists will all open on May 1st.
