I also picked up this rack mount.

Re: Gear of the year 2022
gear of the year = the three ages ov fuzz
Selmer Buzz Tone, 1967 (rebuild)
Silicon Fuzzrite, 1968 (?)
D*A*M 'Seeing eye' 1966, no 50, Feb 2006
....and following the tube pre-amp trend, I also have two Viking DB-60s from the late '50s on the way from Peru, but they won't arrive till next year.

Handmade, high-impact, great-looking radical queer germanium fuzz. A different approach to 1960s-inspired fuzz pedals, no clones, check them out at https://goodfuzzysounds.com or on YouTube https://tinyurl.com/GFS-YT

Man, I dont think I bought ANY gear in 2022? I'm a sad husk of a former addict...
That said I built a lot of stuff, fixed a lot of stuff, and am feeling the guitar urge hard right about now.....maybe in 2023!

Sold lots of good things at the end but they all went to great homes so I’m grooving on that. Found my eternal tone in the super reverb, never been happier with guitar sound
Also Flok fuzz face is so g dam killer, makes me sound like a classic guitar hero
Also got a whole MIDI rack setup from the 80s…hand made box that it’s all in, feels like a time travel machine

Re: Gear of the year 2022
I reconnected with my inner Brian Robertson this year. 1972 Les Paul Deluxe, but with Tim Shaw humbuckers, and a Fargen MkII. It's pure Thin Lizzy. Doesn't even need any pedals, except the early 70s CryBaby and an El Cap delay.
Although I did get a Ram's Head
