I believe it's a Mk1 Tone Bender circuit with an input filter. The original posts about this pedal are on pages 85 and 87 of this thread.

Ah shit, the Jazz Box. Hope you are digging it, man. I just ordered the FZ-1 from Steve. Also, I have to mention that the Heavy Load has been on my pedalboard for YEARS and isn't going anywhere. One of my favorite fuzzes.
