got a chance to rock this old girl next to my AC128 loaded B&G rooster... and the oldie sounds much more like my OC140 starlight red one..... a bit more glassy in the top end, cleaner sounding and not as beefy like the B&G.... i'm gonna check the trimmer in there as i can see two marked positions in there... :hmm: maybe it's been messed with..... i'll see if she's at the proper 6.66 volts on the collector.... :hihi: i can't say enough about this newer AC128 loaded rooster! a truly fantastic booster.... smooth top end and nice and fat in the bottom, with a nice bit of hair on it! those magnetec 128's sound so good!! :crackjam:

I just picked up a couple of Roosters recently too, an RR-10 and a Rooster of Reality. They both have more gain and sound incredible when going into a meathead or pushing an already cooking amp. I have a Starlight too and now I feel a bit better knowing it is comparable to the older model.
