How much do you think an original yellow MkIV would be worth? I've got a line on a 'Hit It' one, though not in the best shape. The guy says it is working, but with a lot of background noise... to quote him: "it needs some repairs. Probably just a loose pot and/or faulty battery clip".
I'm totally in love with IIIs and IVs, and an original yellow is pretty near the top of my most coveted list...

yellows go for a premium.... greys look like they're in the $500-$600 range on ebay right now..... lot's of backgound noise isn't a pot or battery clip issue....

Yeah, I'm thinking it'll need some serious work. I have a friend who is a pretty good builder, so hoping he could restore it to glory. The guy has come back and said he reckons a working pedal would be £700-800!?! I would expect to pay a premium, but that is higher than I had in mind (I'd have thought maybe that in dollars, but not pounds). And given it is a doer-upper... Would £350 be low-balling? I could probably stomach that level of risk, but not much higher (given there is a reasonable chance it is irreparably damaged).

Cool, thanks for that Jim! I might offer £400 and be prepared to go to £460.

Had a good play with this and my fuzz sound yesterday. The yellow MK IV is a bit more agressive, less low end, and has a bit more throaty midrange to it. Its not quite a fat and smooth sounding as the fuzz sound but I think in a live situation the yellow would have an easier time cutting through. Both ace pedals!!

How do the yellow and orange compare? Any differences?
