Just saw my buds band Midlake here in Seattle. They lost their lead singer last year but man they have never sounded better!! Highly recommend thier show.

My band mates went to school in Denton with all the Midlake guys. I've gotten to know them over the years through them and I must say thier live show far exceeds their recorded work. Mckenzie smith is one of the best drummers out there today. He's on all the St Vincent stuff as well...

Quadruple program menu last night 
Had a great time
The show started with The shrine.
They just played 3 or 4 tunes but that was enough to make me bought their album
Right after, it was Indian Handcrafts; one of the main purpose of my visit.
But, i must admit, the best part of the show was Red Fang
The following song is not from their new album but they played it and i found it awesome.
& lastly, Cancer Bats.
They were more doomy with harsh vocal; less in my taste but pretty good too!
I liked very much their Sabotage cover

The only shadow was a small group of moshing asshole
I was just two fingers from knocking the worst one down !!!
Fortunately the staff expelled him out before i get really mad.
