OXFUZZ FX

Post by otis »

Cool section... respect to all. I build a fuzz called OXFUZZ, loosely based on the fuzz face, with upgrades. I use rare germanium transistors, Gold Mullard OC44`s and NKT274`s Warm, smooth, thick and transparent. Cleans up great with guitar volume. From blues to Doom!! $150 Check them out at myspace.com/oxfuzz

I like the old school battery tone.... the wall is too hot. I find these old 60`s transistors like less power.

Here are some new styles. I`m also making a silicon version of the OXFUZZ. i`m using lower gain transistors to give it more of a round, germanium tone, but with a tighter bass response. Still only $150. myspace.com/oxfuzz

For those of you that don't know, and he seems too shy to say so himself, (I think) this is Ken Baluke from Sons Of Otis, a well-known Canadian band.
You guys (especially Sickle) will dig them. :tu:

Cool... "Spacejumbofudge" is one of the CDs I keep in the car at all times.

Classic album! If anything, their last album is even better. Totally trippy, punishingly heavy. I had it on during a four hour drive through rural ireland in the rain, and it was the perfect soundtrack. One of those records that makes me lose track of time and space! I'd love to try one of the si ox fuzzes, sounds like a great idea.
