To me its all in that volume control, so if you have it low no there isn't a ton of gain, but when that volume is cranked, oh boy watch out.

I had a chance to really crank the GB-83 this weekend. Wow! It is a pretty dynamic pedal and very usable for a wide range of tones. It worked very well in both neck and bridge pickup positions. I normally prefer germanium transistors but this one really did it for me. Another D*A*M Homerun!!

I was quite surprised with this one, there aren't many silicon transistor equipped devices I go for but this one really did it for me. The BC108 Head Buzz and the Meat Head are about the only other Si fuzz pedals I have.

So I'm really digging the GB-83 slamming into the GB-80 with the 83 maxed out and the 80 at 3/4 wide or so depending on volume. Pretty dynamic duo those two. Double the grease, double the pleasure.

It does stack really well, I've been stackin mine with an older boss SD-1 and it sounds tight and right
