Automatically shrinking images

So we thrive off pedal porn around these parts, but there's a size restriction for embedded images which means the photographers of aforementioned pornographic material have to make their stuff smaller, and we all know what kind of a big deal 'size' is around this business. I've seen it on other forums where images are automatically shrunk down to a reasonable size in the normal thread view, but give the viewer the option to open up the images in full resolution should they choose to do so.
I'm not well versed in the technoside of this stuff but I did a bit of digging and found this. Would it be feasible to install this into our forum here or would that require an update and more effort than it's really worth? Or if we have it already can the minimum size be adjusted to something grotesquely large? Imagine Rafmax's photos without the size limitation.
