Wow! amazing work Captain. My odds are not very good on winning one of these to go along with my two dozen or so other D*A*M stompboxes, but one can always dream right? I do hope someday I may be lucky enough to purchase one of these in the future. Off to pray to the Holy Mountain.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.

There is only one smiley that will do.
A superb piece of work captain. The description makes me want one more than anything else at the moment, can't wait to hear it in action. Now I just have to convince myself to spend more on a pedal than I did on my amp...

Man this is awesome. I really hope I can score one of these on Monday. Great work and a great read too.

Re: Space ship landing
Oh... question!
Are all of the units pictured going up on Monday?
Also, if someone scores one in the BIN's, can they still get on the list?
Lastly, and pardon the noobiness of this question, how much does the sound varry based on transisor choice in this particular circuit?

That's a nice bit of writing, and interesting.

Re: Space ship landing
Dave, thanks for a vivid description. Writing about sound is an art with few performers and, as a reader and sound lover, I enjoy hearing your metaphors play a distinct Fuzzsound solo on stage with the enduring members of our celebrated fuzz canon. I'm proud to be in this audience:
the Captain wrote:If you want a comparison, say a pedal for pedal idea of what I was aiming at here it’s kinda like this. It’s a nice tasty vegan sour mash style soup made from a few sliced & diced Sola Sound MKIII & MKIV Tone Benders, a few grated Buzzarounds (remember the that one, that’s related here too) all simmered on a medium heat and served up with a nice slice of Big Muff Pie. In other words. Mojo of the MKIII, the base tone and clarity of a MKIV and a Buzzaround and the go fuck yourself volume of a Big Muff.
