Nice! Are there any soundclips of the Fuzzrong? I just built a germanium fuzzrite and wanted to listen to how it SHOULD sound :badteeth:

You should be able to get that two-in-one sound with both a cleanish and a fuzzed sound going on at the same time :bong2:
Also, as have been mentioned before, the rythm part/intro of "I Wanna Be Your Dog" with The Stooges sounds very similar to the germanium Fuzzrong/Fuzzrite.

damn, just had a sec to look at this one again, that is too cool. love the whole japanese market vibe with the different box and warranty card.

so how does this tranny config compare sonically with the "standard" FR setup?

the buzzy hair on the germ circuit is just ridiculously cool.
Exactly! The only way I can tolerate my Start anymore is when I play it through my FuzzRong... otherwise it just sounds too southern rocky for me... great couch guitar though :hihi: .

The F'rong is my fuzz of choice lately...bad ass mofo.

My groop is up and rolling again, this time with a very good singer,
using a P.E. Rx Overdriver, F'rong, Boss Octave (just occasionally) and a volume pedal.
Some nice old spring reverb, perhaps a bit of tremolo & I'm good.

btw, the F'rong does stack up well to my '67 Ge F'rite, which i think is the best fuzz i've ever played.
it has great splattiness, incredibly clear '3 Dimensionality' and each note just blooms fantastically. I
have a feeling it's partially to do with old parts...drifting and whatnot...it just has a loose feel that i love.

The F'rong is clear on the 3D, overall tighter sounding, but has that same great biting garage tone as the '67

...Greatness. :zgrin:

My '68 Si F'rite is good on max Depth, but gets muddy when backed off, even in the slightest...
so the 3D effect is kinda useless, but on max depth, the tone is very good,
different...fatter fuzz, perhaps a bit more synthy, probably great for fuzzbass...Godzilla!

Sickley, DAmn, that green Japanese F'rong, i've been coveting it lately!! :badlove:

bad ruv, indeed.

That looks really good- especially the holes for the switch!
Doesn't that make it more difficult to change, though?

The DAM guarantee is quite a thing.
