So what’s happening under the hood here?
I see two trannies and loss of caps....is the rotary switching in different caps to change the bass response giving different shades of Meat tones from standard through to Dark and beyond?

here is what Dave send us ... lets explain it in the wizard´s words:
" ... Super Ego SE-23 - Pics attached ... The 'Proteus' switch. This a four-way rotary selector switch, the first position being as shown in the images. Each mode changes at least three different capacitor values per setting. This is not a basic tone switch by any means. Aside from the odd example, this pedal covers pretty much all the sonic territory of any Meathead I have ever made ... "
