Elka Reverb III (Dizzy Tone content)

Here's one you don't see every day.
An early amp top, multi effects unit by Elka, made sometime in the early '70,s in Italy.

All 3 effects (Reverb, Tremolo and Dizzy Tone) are pretty neat but the one I was most interested in is the Dizzy Tone.
From pictures I found online it appeared it was a hybrid Ge/Si version of the classic circuit which, on closer inspection, indeed seems to be the case.

I'll do a full dissection soon and post a schematic here when I have one drawn up.

Wow, very cool!

That reminds me, I have a similar Elka footswitch in my parts bin. I should dig it out and try to figure out what it's for. :hmm:

Ps: nice tele too! :tu:

Thanks, that Tele is a keeper for sure!
It's a ridiculously lightweight Japanese Fender from the 80's with original WRHB's.

The Elka is a really interesting piece of gear, it might be a while before I have the time to do a full trace, but I'll post the schematic here when I get a chance.

Wow, what a find. Looks like a decent sized verb tank too. This definitely deserves a demo!!

Will definitely do that when we're reunited.
Back in Spain now, left it in the Netherlands after a quick emergency stopover.
